This hand-carved wood hanging features the Chinese characters for 'Double Blessing Comes to Your Door'. The two characters on the front side mean 'double blessing' and the two on the back mean 'come to your door'. The wood piece consists of two axes decorated with auspicious clouds. Since the Chinese character for ax sounds similar to the Chinese character for blessing, the two axes symbolize double blessing in Chinese culture. There is a Chinese knot on top of the wood piece, and a Chinese red thread tassel at the bottom.
