This hand-carved wood hanging features the Chinese characters for 'Peace and Blessing'. The three Chinese characters on both sides of it mean 'peace and blessing'. The wood piece consists of two bats, which surround the three Chinese characters in the middle. Bats are widely used in Chinese culture to symbolize blessing since the Chinese character for bat sounds the same as the Chinese character for blessing. There is a Chinese knot on top of the wood piece, and a Chinese red thread tassel at the bottom.
