This hand-carved wood hanging features the Chinese characters for 'Double Blessing Comes to Your Door' on the front and 'Dragon and Phoenix Shows Auspicious' on the back. The wood piece consists of two axes at the top with a dragon handle on one side and a phoenix handle on the other side. Since the Chinese character for ax sounds similar to the Chinese character for blessing, the two axes symbolize double blessing in Chinese culture. The dragon and phoenix symbolize auspicious and power. There is a Chinese knot on top of the wood piece, and a Chinese red thread tassel at the bottom.
